Advertised as a replacement for Rheem 51-21855-02, however the item I received had the centerlines of the four mounting screw holes exactly 1/16" farther from the bottom than the original it replaced, making it impossible to seat. I had to drill out larger holes at the mount point. Fortunately, the four mounting screws provided did have larger heads and the item was ultimately well secured.Also, it replaced an item which was also rated at 1075 RPM, however it seems to rotate noticably slower. Don't take my word for it yet, I'll update this comment when I can test it with a strobe to determine its exact RPM.I should have spent a little more for the Rheem.Fit OK, but wiring instructions not very clear as the motor that was being replaced only had three wires and this unit has five.Replaced the motor in my Rheem unit without much difficulty. Probably not for the average homeowner though.
