I tried two cheaper blower motors for our 2013 Ford Fusion, and both were noticeably noisy (you could easily hear a "hum" from the blower at low to medium speeds, even when driving), and neither of them could output HIGH or MAX airflow. The first I thought was a fluke, so I got another, and it did the same. Then I opted for this OEM version. Same easy (if you can contort yourself under the passenger dash) installation with 3 screws and one connector, and it works. I have our High speed and Max speed again! Not sure what the cause is for the other to be noisy and unable to blow full speed air, but they both had a noticeably smaller "inlet/outlet" duct opening than the original and this OEM replacement. That seems like it might be a cause for inability to hit full and max speeds, and the noisiness is likely just that the motors on the both of those blowers were smaller than the OEM and just "cheaper".Yes, this is about 2.5x the price, but when you need full and max speed to work and don't want to hear the blower itself, it is worth the price.
